For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Gospel according to John, Chapter 3, verse 16.(KJV)

We live in a complex world full of things that compete for our attention.  Even within the world of religion there are many different groups, sects and faiths all of whom want your support.  This site is dedicated to promoting Christianity in its simplest and original form.  It is non-denominational and the author(s) will only be dealing with  issues that are central to Christianity. What we ask of you is that you stay a while, read what is written in these pages and make up your own mind about what is acceptable in the sight of God and what is not.

The Message of John 3:16

For God so loved the world - that means everyone who ever has and will ever live irrespective of who you are and what you may or may not have done.

that He gave his only begotten Son - that means Jesus Christ (no one else, no need for any other sacrifice)

that whosoever - that means you and me

believeth in Him - that means believes that Jesus was/is the Son of God, and died paying the price for our sins

should not perish - not go to a lost eternity in hell

but have everlasting life - live forever in heaven

You may think that this does not apply to you:

You have sinned - Romans 3 vs 10 As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one.

& vs 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

Salvation is on offer to you - Romans 10 vs 13 Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

This is how - (we are saved by Faith in Christ Jesus) - Romans 10 vs 9 If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him up from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
